A bit of comforting news for the GOP...

While large majorities of the American public blame the GOP leadership for allegedly covering up the Foley incident, 75 percent believe the Dems would have done no better and only 18 percent said the Foley incident will affect their vote. Of course, this was buried in a small AP article that didn't even run in most major newspapers. It can be found here.

That being said, the GOP should brace itself for huge losses in both houses and prepare to work more aggressively than ever before in its GOTV efforts

You are right that the Foley episode is a poor reason to change your vote for anyone not in that district.

The real reason to abandon Republicans this time is to create gridlock. The Republicans in congress have been unwilling to stop the president as he leads us to a full fledged police state. They appear willing to violate their oaths of office in order to protect a president from their party.

The average voter can do only one thing to protect his personal freedom-set up a gridlock situation for the next two years.

Well,

Again you miss the point, Mike.

There should be no gridlock becaues there should be a very small Washington D.C.

Repeal the 17th amendment and everything will return to it's natural order (after all hell breaks loose first....but that is what is needed to wake people up to the rights they cede on almost a daily basis).
